Tomato Seedling Cultivation

Here is information about the care, planting, and growing conditions for tomato seedlings:

Tomato Seedling Planting Time

Indoor: Tomato seeds are usually sown indoors in February-March.
Outdoor: Seedlings are typically transplanted outdoors in May, after the risk of frost has passed.

Tomato Seedling Soil Preparation

Soil Type: Tomatoes prefer slightly acidic to slightly alkaline soils (pH 6-7). Rich, well-drained soils with a good amount of organic matter are ideal.
Fertilization: Before planting, the soil should be enriched with good compost or well-rotted animal manure. After transplanting, Migma Root should be applied to help root development. Fertilizer that promotes flower fertilization should also be added. The distance between nodes on the tomato plant should not be too large.

How to Plant Tomato Seedlings

Seed Sowing: Seeds are sown 1-2 cm deep with about 30 cm spacing between them.
Seedling Transplanting: Seedlings should be planted 30-50 cm apart. The seedlings should not be crowded during planting, as this can lead to root collar rot.

How to Water Tomato Seedlings

Regular Watering: Tomatoes like regular watering. Water the plants periodically as the top of the soil dries, but avoid waterlogging the roots.
Drip Irrigation: If possible, use a drip irrigation system, which delivers water directly to the roots.

Light and Temperature for Growing Tomato Seedlings

Light: Tomatoes need at least 6-8 hours of sunlight per day.
Temperature: The ideal growth temperature is between 20-25°C, with nighttime temperatures between 15-18°C.

Pesticides and Fungicides: Use appropriate fungicides and pesticides when necessary to control pests and diseases.
